Enjoy a great day out for all the family at The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft in North Lincolnshire, home to the world’s largest collection of preserved trolleybuses. On open days the museum runs a selection of these for visitors to ride on.
There are also 1950s period shop window displays, an exhibition room, cycle shop museum, lecture theatre, 1950s-style pre-fab home, motorbus tours of the local area, picnic areas, a café and shop. Many open days have a theme, for example the Twilight Trolleys event in autumn when trolleybuses run in the dark.
Price
Cost for a family of 4 is £32 for most open days (some are priced at £37). Includes free re-admission for 12 months, with some exceptions – click here for details.
Opening times
The museum is usually open at weekends every 2-3 weeks between Easter and November, plus 1 week of weekdays at each of Easter, May half term and August – click here for details.
