The London Dungeon details...

For a super scary and unforgettable outing with the family, a visit to the London Dungeon is a must. One of the UK’s most iconic attractions which visitors have enjoyed for nearly 40 years, the London Dungeon brings 1,000 years of authentic London history to life with a unique mix of talented live actors performing in scarily funny shows, stunning special effects, edge-of-your-seat surprises and two exciting thrill rides.

This themed experience, where you will feel as if you are walking the streets of London past because of its realistic 360Ў sets, has lots of scary stories about London’s horrible history for you to discover, based on real stories of the capital’s murky past, such as Sweeney Todd, the barber of Fleet Street and Jack the Ripper. You’ll learn about the Newgate Gallows, about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot to blow up Parliament, the Black Death and torture and also learn lots of interesting historical facts along the way.

The tour starts with a scary trip down into the depths of the Dungeon in a medieval lift, setting the tone for the whole visit. Visitors should prepare themselves to face the most sinister characters from London’s past on this actor-led tour that lasts approximately 90 minutes. The recommended minimum age is 12+ years. School parties are welcomed as the London Dungeon is a fun and unique introduction to subjects such as history and performing arts for pupils. It’s also a great venue for an unforgettable and thrilling birthday party.

Tickets can be combined with up to four other attractions including Sea Life London Aquarium, the London Eye and Madame Tussauds.
