When you are looking for places to go make time to visit The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland with the children and be captivated in one of the world’s most attractive contemporary gardens, combining spaces, themes, quirkiness and play.
Its centrepiece is the Grand Cascade water feature and it has an enormous tree house, Ornamental Garden, Bamboo Labyrinth and the Poison Garden.
There are lots of interesting features for kids to enjoy including a water play area where they can run into the amazing water sculptures. Take swimming costumes and a towel to make full use of this, though you’ll find it’s hard to drag the children away!
The garden is very family friendly and there is a programme of family events and areas for picnics. Allow a full long day for your visit, and finish with something tasty in the Tree House restaurant, Pavilion Cafe or The Potting Shed coffee shop.
Family tickets are for two adults and up to four children aged 5 to 16 years.
