St Martin-in-the-Fields

When in Trafalgar Square in London, look around this famous church. Kids will enjoy trying their hand in the London Brass Rubbing Centre, where they can choose from several historic brasses to have a go at (there is a charge for the brass rubbing). St Martin-in-the-Fields is the beautiful Georgian church set in the northeast corner of the iconic Trafalgar square. Dating back to 1222, St Martin’s has always been at the front of innovation. It has been the location of the first ever religious broadcast and its music tradition includes performances by Mozart and Handel! Within the church there are daily services, and free music running throughout the week. Ticketed evening events are also available from Thursday-Saturday. Adventure downstairs into the crypt where kids can enjoy making their very own brass rubbings to take home. School groups are welcome to wonder around the Church and foyer expect during services or concerts.
