Shepreth Wildlife Park details...

Planning a day out with the family? Then a trip to Shepreth Wildlife Park near Royston in Hertfordshire really is a special outing. This family-run Wildlife Park offers visitors the opportunity to explore and see close up an amazing collection of animals.

An important aspect of the Park is its involvement in the European endangered species programmes, breeding animals that are of conservation importance, hopefully ensuring the future safety from extinction for some of these species.

Keeper talk times run throughout the day and this is a perfect opportunity to learn more about individual species direct from the handler. Animals range from the ordinary farmyard, such as goats, ducks, geese and ponies to the more exotic animals in the Park ла on Monkey Island you’ll find Azara’s agouti and Red-bellied Tamarins along with Macaque monkeys. The Big Cat House is home to lynx, mountain lions and tigers and the Park’s native species include the polecat, red squirrel and pine marten.

Choose from a wide range of Wildlife Park Experiences such as Junior Keeper for a day or Be a Tiger Keeper or Meet the Lemurs. As part of these amazing experiences, you get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Park, learning about the care of a variety of animals. Ringo’s Play Barn is an indoor play centre where kids can let off steam. It’s also a great party venue for children up to 14 years and will certainly be a memorable day for guests. Prices include admission into Waterworld and Bug City, so check out the website to make sure you don’t miss anything!
