Uncover the fascinating facts about this property near Preston where the Great Hall is the oldest part of the majestic 14th century black and white manor house. Free guided tours are offered on Sundays by costumed guides. The house is surrounded by beautiful flower gardens, a Tudor kitchen garden and green open spaces and ancient woodlands that are perfect for tranquil rambles. There is also exhibition space and a craft gallery. Look out for the family friendly events taking place throughout the year. There is a licensed restaurant for delicious hot food and Dottie’s Wafflery offering fresh waffles, local ice creams and mouth-watering milkshakes.

Entry to the Samlesbury Hall is completely free. The Hall and grounds are open for visitors Sunday to Friday at 10am–4pm but closed every Saturday and occasionally Fridays (or other days of the week) for weddings and private functions. Please check the dates on the website to see when the Hall is closed before you travel.
