Salford Museum & Art Gallery

There are lots of things to see and do that will suit all the family at Salford Museum and Art Gallery.

Stroll down the cobbles in the re-creation of Lark Hill Place and experience Victorian street smells and sounds, take a peek inside the many shops and houses, including a toy shop, chemist, grocers, a blacksmiths and an artisan’s cottage.

Observe traditional and modern art with changing exhibitions, try the craft activities and workshops for families. The LifeTimes Gallery tells the fascinating story of Salford over the last 200 years, focusing on real people and real events.

Children can enjoy quizzes and drawing activities around the building with an Explorer Trail, meet one of the historical characters on an interactive learning session or grab some sweet treats from Mr Tomlinson’s Sweet Shop.

Take some fresh air in Peel Park, located behind the museum and enjoy refreshments in the café.
