Riverside Museum

For a great day out – inside – visit Scotland’s premier transport museum! Glasgow’s well-loved Museum of Transport collection is now housed in a spectacular waterfront landmark that was designed by internationally-renowned architect, Zaha Hadid. The dynamic Riverside Museum displays Glasgow’s rich industrial heritage, much related to the River Clyde. The Tall Ship is berthed alongside the Museum and the children will love all the modes of transport and the great riverside views.

The multi-award winning Riverside Museum houses over 3,000 objects that detail Glasgow’s rich past from its days as maritime powerhouse and second city of the empire, to a glimpse into daily Glasgow life in the early to mid 20th Century, including everything from skateboards to steam engines, paintings to prams, bicycles, pedal cars, classic cars and even a Star Wars stormtrooper, there really is something to delight visitors of all ages.​

Head to the Tall Ship, berthed outside for an immersive experience in to life at sea aboard a Clyde built barque of the late 19^th century.
