Pack a picnic and enjoy a free day out with the children in Herefordshire at Queenswood Country Park near Leominster. Designated a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), the Park features a 47-acre arboretum and 123 acres of semi-natural ancient woodland to explore. With a choice of trails including the Gruffalo Trail for ages 2-6 years, picnic facilities, a viewpoint, woodland adventure playground, visitor centre and café, you’ll find plenty of family things to do.
The Wildlife Watch Club for children aged 7 to 14 years meets monthly and there’s also Nature Tots, a weekly group for under 5s and their carers. If there’s a birthday coming up in the family, find out about magical woodland birthday parties that can be booked for up to 20 children. A range of party themes is available including survival skills, minibeast explorers and pirates treasure trail.
