Queen Street Mill Textile Museum details...

Feel and hear the power of the magnificent steam engine, ’Peace’, driving over 300 looms in the weaving shed when you visit the last surviving, operational steam powered weaving mill in the world.

Owned by a workers co-operative ТThe Queen Street Manufacturing Company, the mill is a time capsule of the late Victorian age and highlights the importance of Lancashire in world trade of that era. On your day out discover the story of cotton textiles, learn about ”King Cotton”.

Open March to November, see the website for days and times. There is a cafe and free parking.
