Puppet Theatre Barge

Treat the family to tickets for The Puppet Theatre Barge, the UK’s only floating puppet theatre! This magical theatre inside a beautifully converted barge has been touring the Thames for more than 40 years.

Their 2024 summer show The Insect Circus invites the audience to forget reality and become immersed in the strange and beautiful world of insects. Beetles and grasshoppers, wasps and dragonflies, demonstrate their dexterity with great skill and humour.

The production is performed using marionettes (string puppets) and there are multiple performances between June 29th and August 11th 2024 at Abbey Meadows in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This show runs for 45 minutes and can be enjoyed by the whole family but is aimed at ages 4-11 years old.
