Postman’s Park is a lovely area of green space and exotic plants based round the corner from St Paul’s Cathedral. It is one of the largest parks in the City of London, and contains Watt’s Memorial, filled with plaques commemorating heroes’ who died saving the lives of others and would otherwise have been forgotten. Whether the kids find gruesome or inspiring, it’s well worth a visit.
