An excellent, free place to take the kids is the Old Navy College in Greenwich. Set in the landscapes ground on the River Thames, it showcases a great baroque masterpiece of English Architecture. Guided tours are on offer and for an extra special day out, why not get there by boat! The Old Royal Navy College is Sir Christopher Wren’s twin-domed riverside masterpiece and one of London’s iconic landmarks. The famous building stands on the side of Greenwich Palace, and includes the Discover Greenwich Visitor Centre. Kids can explore over 500 years of history at the Visitor Centre, with several exhibition areas on the College’s history. The buildings and rich history of the famous building offers great opportunities for learning across the current curriculum. Workshops, trails and interactive, hands on sessions can be tailored to meet the different needs of every class. The school programme is free of charge, with the exception of actor led sessions.
