The National Archives details...

For an educational day out, visit the National Archives in Kew, Richmond. Older children in particular will enjoy learning about the history of the archives, and its current role. The Archives contain over 11 million historical government and public records, with paper and parchment, electronic records and websites, photographs, posters, maps, drawings and paintings. For schools, there are lots of educational lessons and workshops available. The family events programme includes activities for all ages, from babies upwards.
