Planning a free day out in Bristol? Take the kids to M Shed, which tells the fascinating story of the city and its residents with the help of documents, photographs and objects. The three galleries have friendly interactives to keep youngsters interested and Family Explorer Kits can be hired.
On selected dates from early summer to autumn, train, boat and crane trips are available and great fun for families (charges apply for trips). The museum is also an excellent kids’ birthday party venue.
