Lincoln Castle makes an excellent choice for a family day out with the kids. Located right in the centre of Lincoln city the medieval castle dates back to 1068 and was built by William the Conqueror. It has recently been restored transforming it into a world class heritage site.
Climb up the steps for the Medieval Wall Walk taking in the towers and dungeons; meet prisoners in the Victorian Prison and take a close look at one of the original surviving copies of the 1215 Magna Carta document.
