This specialist geological museum is a fascinating free place to go in Birmingham with plenty to see and learn. Young geologists will love the amazing collections of minerals, fossils and rocks.
Its 2016 re-developement has now transformed it with state-of-the-art galleries and a range of innovative and interactive exhibits from rocks, volcanoes and earthquakes to fossils and dinosaurs. Meet Roary the Allosaurus and see dinosaur footprints and remains such as skulls and teeth.
There are family events, trails, colouring-in activities and storybooks available. The Museum will capture the imagination of all ages and, wonderfully, it is free!
Please see the Lapworth Museum of Geology’s website to find out more before visiting.
