Hestercombe Gardens offers a fun family day out in Somerset with plenty to interest a wide age range. With acres of beautiful countryside and endless fresh air, Hestercombe is the perfect place for families to explore. Spot wildflowers at the meadow, paddle in the stream or play hide and seek in the formal garden. Add to the fun of your day out by picking up a wildlife spotting sheet or visit in the school holidays when there are fun family activities and trails.
Are you looking for something new to do? There’s a fantastic programme of family-friendly events throughout the year. So choose from wild crafts, trails, outdoor theatre, holiday activities and more. There really is something for everyone to enjoy.
The Stables Café serves a great selection of food perfect for children, including sandwiches, pasta and half portions of the Sunday roast. Furthermore, you’ll find plenty of space for buggies and high chairs and, of course, there is ice-cream!
Finally, the play area is next to the picnic area and a handy spot at lunchtime or for one last play before you head home. The children’s play area is kitted out with playhouses, a little slide and woodchip underfoot for a soft landing. It is designed for children aged 7 years and under.
Hestercombe Gardens are open daily, from 10am to 6pm; last entry is at 5pm (4pm in winter). The Gardens are closed on Christmas Day.
