Hartsholme Country Park and Swanholme Lakes Local Nature Reserve

Located about three miles from the centre of Lincoln, this green flag award-winning park includes Victorian landscaped gardens, a large reservoir, woodlands and grasslands. There are plenty of things for families to do including a children’s play area, orienteering courses and walks around the attractive grounds.

Dress for the weather and pack a picnic before you explore the 200 acre country park to discover the park’s scenic beauty that is designated a Special Site of Scientific Interest. Listen out for woodpeckers and see how many different birds you can spot. Why not download a British wildlife sheet and go on a seek and find activity with the kids to search out wild flowers, trees, dragonflies or beetles.
