Looking for a family day out in the great outdoors? Take the family to explore one of Gwent Wildlife Trust’s nature reserves in South East Wales and encourage an interest in wildlife and nature. The Trust runs lots of family events and activities, especially in school holidays. So find out what’s on and make the most of your visit.
Choose from family events such as wildlife activity days including pond dipping, wildlife trails, crafts, bird watching and more. Most of these events are low cost (around £2) or free. Also there are outdoor cinema nights, an annual 10k ’race for wildlife’, guided walks, training and talks.
Gwent Wildlife Trust is the leading conservation charity in Gwent, protecting wildlife and working to educate people about the importance of caring for the environment. GWT manages 30 of the best areas for wildlife in Gwent and hundreds more through working with local landowners. Their work is helping to secure the future of many important habitats and species.
