Fleet Air Arm Museum details...
One of the places for a family day out in South Somerset is the Fleet Air Arm Museum. This aviation museum tells the story of naval aviation, from manned kites towed behind naval vessels to modern Sea Harriers and helicopters.
One of the highlights is the award-winning Aircraft Carrier Experience, an exciting ’flight’ in a helicopter to HMS Ark Royal’s ’flight deck’. There are lots of extra kids activities during school holidays – have a look at the Museum’s website and find out what’s on.
