Cornwall is known for its multitude of beaches, and here are some suggestions for the best family-friendly ones.
Gyllyngvase is a short walk from Falmouth town centre. There is flat access so it’s great for pushchairs, a beach café and fun beach facilities in summer.
Perranporth is a huge, sandy beach with lovely rock pools and lots of amenities nearby.
Porthminster beach in St Ives has white sand, blue water and a tropical feel. There’s an award-winning beach café and sheltered waters.
Praa Sands has a long beach of powdery soft sand, shops offering board and equipment hire and vendors selling delicious ice creams.
Summerleaze Beach in Bude has a wonderful sea pool which is great for little swimmers. There are also pretty beach huts that can be booked.
As this is just a very small selection of Cornish beaches, please visit the website below.
