A lovely family day out can be spent walking around this stunning lake on a way marked path that has interest and variety over about 4.5 miles. The children can paddle in the shallow water of the lake shore, enjoy a woodland adventure and the excitement of a tunnel which was carved out in the 19th century. Parts of the path are closed for rare nesting birds at certain times of year.
