For a great day out with the kids, take them to Blackgang Chine, which is situated on the A3055 about 6 miles from Ventnor. Here you can step into the land of imagination as you come across fighting pirates on-on-board your own ship, discover life size moving dinosaurs and escape from danger!
You can be the sheriff of your own cowboy town, rounding up the outlaws and locking ’em up – or experiencing the magic of being a fairy princess in your own castle!
All the family will enjoy this eclectic mix of attractions, magical theme worlds and exciting rides. Set in 40 acres of Victorian cliff top gardens, visitors will also find slides and rides, such as the Cliff Hangar, Water Force or Snakes and Ladders.
The Wight Experience is a 70-seat large screen cinema in which the family can watch an awe-inspiring aerial film showing the Isle of Wight’s heritage and beauty.
Don’t miss one of the regular shows throughout the day. Look out for Shadow and Sheila, two resident T-Rex dinosaurs who often take their handlers on walks through the park, sometimes stealing ice-creams and generally causing mayhem.
You should also look out for the dragonfly, the ladybird, the centipede, the spiders and the scorpion! When all the excitement tires little ones out, you can take in the extraordinary views of the coastline, enjoy a picnic with fresh sea breezes and look over the expanse of the Heritage Coast.
