Put your best foot forward, breathe in the fresh air and set off to walk the full six miles of the Bath Skyline. The six-mile trail follows waymarked footpaths through open space with spectacular views of the city of Bath. Look forward to peaceful beech woodlands, hidden valleys, an Iron Age hill fort, flowers, wildlife and wonderful views. Make the most of the big open spaces by taking a kite.
Families with younger children may prefer a circular three miles from the city centre to the countryside and back. Alternatively there is the activity-packed Family Discovery Trail around Claverton Down. Suitable for pushchairs, the Discovery Trail covers a two-mile stretch of the Bath Skyline and includes geocaches, a fairy trail, woodland play area and ’50 things’ challenges.
Leaflets and maps are available to download before you visit.
