Bamburgh Castle

One of England’s most stunning castles, Bamburgh Castle sits on a nine-acre rocky plateau above the dramatic Northumberland coastline. An important Anglo Saxon archaeological site, discover centuries of history at this Royal Seat of the Kings of Northumbria where visitors can explore 14 public areas, such as the Keep with its armoury and the medieval kitchen.

There are audio-tours of the state rooms and live excavations and a day at Bamburgh is filled with sights, stories and exhilarating history exploring the King of Castles.

Family tickets are available online, children under 5 years have free entry and there is a small parking charge.
