Family days out in Cheshire can include a visit to the famous gardens and elegant Victorian manor house and estate. There is plenty to occupy families, take a picnic, enjoy discovering the sculptures in the Grove, who will be the first to spot the life-size cow and her calf along with a giant dragonfly?

Head to the Adventure Play Zone to zoom along the zip wire, build castles in the sandpit and take to the swings and slides. Let the kids explore the willow dome or make their own den in the natural parkland. If you want to visit just the PlayZone (and not the Gardens) admission charges are adult £5 (must have up to 2 children with them). PlayZone tickets is only available Monday to Friday (not weekends or Bank Holidays):

The gardens, grove, Chapel, woodland walk and children’s play zone are open daily (except for Christmas Day) from 10am to 4pm (last entry 3.30pm). The Hall, is open on selected dates each month.
