At Adventure Valley near Durham, you’ll discover seven action-packed play zones bringing you the very best in family adventure, animal fun and indoor play. Outside, explore Action Creek, bouncing high on the jumping pillows, racing friends on the go-karts or taking a tractor ride down to the River Wear. At Runaway Ranch, zoom down the giant slide, Runaway Races, zoom down the zipwire and play in Forty Towers and check out the birds of prey and enjoy watching their flying displays. The Wild West-themed Adventure Valley Golf will guarantee family fun and bring out the competitive streak in visitors on this 18-hole course (small charge). In the Farmyard, meet giant rabbits, chipmunks, a micro pig, Shetlands and pygmy goat. At the daily petting sessions, children can interact with the animals, supervised by staff. The Busy Bees Barn offers the best in indoor entertainment. In the Showtime Theatre, see magic shows and comedy (weekends and school holidays), visit Creature Corner and see reptiles and then have a shoot-out at the Wild West Play Town in the Cannon Saloon. See if you are lucky on the wheel of fortune and then push through the saloon doors and discover an assortment of interactive games, rope climbs and slides to continue the fun. If the kids need to let off steam, then head to the Indoor Play Town and find three levels of multi play. There are slides, tubes, tunnels and scramble nets and a special area for the under fives. There is a busy events programme that runs through the year, with seasonal specials and fun-packed Big Weekends. Choose from one of the many birthday party packages on offer for that special day.
