Viking Raiders at Warwick Castle

Viking Raiders, Warwick Castle’s brand-new Viking stunt show launches this May Half Term. The new show is inspired by true Viking history at Warwick Castle with one the most powerful women in history, Aethelflaed, Lady of the Mercians, taking centre stage! Guests can book tickets from 23 April 2026 .

This high-energy, family-friendly show tells the true origin story of Warwick Castle and the Viking and Anglo-Saxon battles in the Middle Ages across Mercia, as it was known at the time.

Viking Raiders brings fast-paced action between Vikings and Anglo-Saxons, fearless stunts (some of them on horseback!) and epic storytelling performed by a cast of talented actors. This production reimagines one of Britains most defining eras with a modern twist – combining authentic historical inspiration with blockbuster-style entertainment! Guests can expect a bold blend of live performance, flaming arrows, pyrotechnics and spectacle, designed to keep the whole family on the edge of their seats. As well as stunts performed on four specially trained horses, explosive combat with sword fights, archery, cavalry charges and jaw-dropping battle scenes.

Viking Raiders begins its limited run on 23 May, with the final performance taking place on 17 July and is included in a daytime general admission ticket. Select performances will also be delivered with BSL interpretation on 26 May. Warwick Castle’s much-loved show, Wars of the Roses: LIVE, will be returning on 18 July onwards.

In addition to Viking Raiders, Warwick Castle offers a host of May Half Term activities, including the UK’s largest bird of prey display, The Falconer’s Quest, where magnificent birds soar high overhead in a breathtaking spectacle. The Legend of the Trebuchet is back too, with Britain’s largest working siege engine taking the spotlight in a dramatic live show. For younger guests, the Realm of Zog, which includes Zog Playland, is packed full of fun for little dragons.
