Plan a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm for October half term and learn more about the amazing migration story of the monarch butterfly and why this butterfly is associated with Mexican Day of the Dead celebrations.
Daily butterfly lifecycle demonstrations will take place at 11.30am in the Discovery Zone. There will be plenty of beautiful orange monarchs flying and visitors will find out about the monarch migration, their life cycle and food plants. Their association with Dia de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is due to their arrival like clockwork in Mexico in early November, coinciding with the celebrations.
In the Flight Area families can follow a gruesome insect fact trail, and find out just how weird and wonderful nature can be!
