Giraffe Jamboree at West Midlands Safari Park

Treat the family to an unforgettable day out at West Midlands Safari Park this May and join in celebrating one of the Park’s most iconic animals – the giraffe. These themed activities are in addition to the usual attractions.

Don’t miss the Jumping Giraffes Live Show. The rangers are making preparations for a spectacular jamboree to welcome the arrival of a baby giraffe. Look forward to high-energy thrills in this electrifying stunt show. However, the mischievous Evil Jungle Joker is lurking in the shadows. Find out whether this evil character will spoil the party of the year. Shows will start at 12noon, 1.30pm, 3pm and 4pm on the Discovery Trail.

Meet Gerald the Giraffe, a new lovable character who will be greeting visitors, posing for photos and teaching everybody all about giraffes. Head to the Discovery Trail at 11.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm or 3.15pm.

Complete the Giraffe Trail for a chance to win a Giraffe Safari Lodges Stay and snap a photo at the Giraffe Photo Point. At the Conservation Station you will be able to find out more about the Park’s resident giraffes and earn a sticker. Meanwhile, in Crafty Cubs’ Corner young explorers can make a giraffe mask and do some colouring.

Of course, you can meet the Park’s own tower of giraffes either on the Safari Drive or on the African Walking Trail. Look out for two babies – Namara (born in October 2025) and Olive (born January 2026).

Dates

The Giraffe Jamboree is available on selected dates in May: 2nd-4th, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th and 23rd-31st.
