Escape the crowds and enjoy heritage, history and holiday cheer on a fun family visit to The Roman Baths in Somerset this festive season.
From 27th November to 31st December, young explorers and their adults can follow a Saturnalia spotting trail, Hoot’s Saturnalia Secrets, to find out how the Romans celebrated winter. Join Hoot the Owl and track down festive objects around the museum.
For extra fun, why not plan your day out for 20th, 22nd or 23rd December and join in Georgian Christmas Crafts from 11am to 3pm in the Panorama Room, Roman Baths Museum. Get creative making a greetings card featuring a Georgian building with a surprise behind the door.
In addition, on selected dates running up to 21st December The Great Bath will be alive with the sound of local choirs singing seasonal songs at Winter Warmers between 4.30pm and 5.30pm. Meanwhile. the Roman Baths Shop is brimming with seasonal gifts and The Pump Room Restaurant is serving a luxurious Christmas afternoon tea.
