Dino Takeover at Wellington Country Park

This August, prepare for a roaring prehistoric adventure near Reading as Wellington Country Park’s spectacular Dino Takeover brings the Jurassic era to life.

Perfect for families and dinosaur enthusiasts aged 2- 8 years old, this exciting event offers the chance to step back millions of years and come face-to-face with some of the world’s most iconic dinosaurs.

Meet incredible life-sized dinosaurs throughout the day, including the mighty Triceratops, towering Brontosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Dilophosaurus, fearsome Raptor, and the king of the dinosaurs, the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Live dinosaur shows run continuously between 10am and 3pm, so there is always something exciting to see. At the Dino Dig, budding palaeontologists can dig for hidden fossils, learn fascinating facts about prehistoric creatures, and enjoy hands-on discovery play.

For those ready to take on an even bigger challenge, head to the Discovery Barn at the Animal Farm for the exciting Ranger Training experience. Junior rangers will help muck out dinosaur enclosures, inspect and clean dinosaur eggs, and prepare some feed for the sleeping baby dinosaurs. Once they have completed their training, every participant will receive their very own Ranger Certificate to take home.
