Summer is here and whatever comes in the way of the weather, children love to have some fun with water – and it doesn’t matter if its in it, on it or around it!

Here at Let’s Go with the Children we have researched some of the most fun places to take the kids to dive into some water fun! There’s places to learn to surf, to shoot down water flumes, to check out amazing underwater sea life, to go banana boating and much more…..Enjoy the summer with a splash!

Indoor surfing at Twinwoods Adventure

Twinwoods Adventure in Bedford have something for everyone to try out. From Indoor skydiving to a children’s soft play area to a relaxing tranquil spa.

For when the beach is out of reach the Flowrider at Twinwoods is the perfect place to give surfing a go. It is indoors so you can catch a wave any time of the year and as the minimum age is just five years old,it’s perfect for all of the family to try.

After meeting an instructor and getting a safety briefing, get kitted up in a wet suit before heading to the wave. Start off on the body boards which are really easy to ride and you will be performing tricks in no time.

Check out the underwater worlds at the Blue Reef Aquariums

Dive into the underwater world at one of the four Blue Reef Aquariums in Portsmouth, Tynemouth, Newquay and Hastings.

Alton Towers Waterpark

I Love The Deep 22nd July to 3rd September

The Deep invites you to get creative this summer as they celebrate Hull’s year as City of Culture. They are challenging you to show off your creative skills in craft corner (open from 11am each day) to help make a giant montage showcasing your favourite things about The Deep. But first, you have to explore the attraction to remind yourself of which exhibits you love, as well as discovering some of the newest additions.

Where to begin? From the very start of time of course! Go through prehistoric seas, past tropical lagoons, into the vast open oceans, down to the darkest depths, through the chilly Kingdom of Ice and into the future.

Be sure to stop and marvel at the variety of amazing marine life including the newest arrivals, the Loggerhead sea turtles, and discover more about them from The Deep’s guiding team. Enjoy daily presentations about the animals that live at The Deep throughout the day.

Don’t forget to wave hello to the Aquarists too! See them feeding the penguins at 11.30am and 3.30pm as well as carrying out daily dive shows to feed the animals or give the tanks a good spruce up at 2pm.

Summer holidays sorted at Stubbers Adventure Centre

Six weeks of school summer holidays are looming which means the prospect of keeping the kids happy and entertained is (maybe..)  starting to weigh on parents’ minds.

But look no further, as Stubbers Adventure Centre has the perfect solution with its summer SMASH Camps programme. Aimed at children between the ages of six and 16, SMASH Camps will be hosting a fun-packed mix of adventurous activities all summer long. So whether your child likes crawling through mud on assault courses, wants to test out their balance on the high ropes course or try something completely new like sailing or quad biking, there will be an activity for them.

And if they fancy a summer sleepover with their pals, Stubbers now offer an all-inclusive residential week, SMASH AIR, where children play in the day and stay in large, canvas bunk houses that come complete with comfy bunk beds. Animals above and below water at Living Coasts
