WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre

Choose Llanelli Wetland Centre for a great family day out in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales. Don’t forget to buy a bag of grain to feed the birds before you set off to discover the incredible variety of wildlife on the 450-acre reserve with its range of habitats.

Feeding the ducks and the amazingly greedy geese will keep the kids entertained for ages! Then, when the grain has run out, watch the colourful Caribbean flamingos and visit the hides. As well as birds, the reserve is home to lots of different plants, animals and insects such as butterflies and dragonflies.

There is a great choice of play areas including Explore, the wild outdoor adventure playground with swamps, ropes and balance beams. How about den building in Wiggly Wood, getting lost in Swans’s Nest Maze or wriggling and crawling through the willowy tunnels of Water Vole City?
