Wicksteed Park is the historic home of children’s play and was the creation of playground inventor Charles Wicksteed; a famous engineer of his time (early 1900’s) and is one of the oldest leisure parks in the country. A favourite day out with over 30 family-friendly rides and attractions set in 147 acres of historic Grade II Listed parkland, its name is synonymous with fun for families!
Boasting over half a million visitors every year between Easter and October enjoy the park rides, indoor and outdoor entertainment programmes as well as the beautiful grounds with landscaped gardens, an arboretum, hills to roll down, a lake to paddle in and trees to climb! Wickys Play Factory is a brilliant indoor play centre where kids can crawl, jump, wriggle and bounce around till they have run out of energy. Visit the meerkats, spot beautiful birds in the Woolloomooloo aviary, try the Tree Top Walk, whizz down the super Rush 40 mile per hour zip wire and the new Sway Rider !
There is a campsite, so you can take your tent or caravan and stay in a beautiful spot overlooking the lakes! Wristbands (giving unlimited access to rides, one per person) are available for children and adults, or you can purchase tickets to split between friends or family. Rides mostly require 1-3 tickets per person. Please note that height restrictions apply to some attractions but there is plenty for younger children to enjoy. The Park also boasts Northamptonshire’s largest entertainment venue, a beautiful 1920’s style Pavilion, which is the heart of a year round programme of daytime and evening shows and events, along with many private events.
See website for ticket options, prices vary for event days. There is a £1.50 handling charge for tickets bought online.
