The Scottish Crannog Centre

For a fascinating day out in Perthshire, take the family to The Scottish Crannog Centre and learn about the Iron Age crannog dwellers. Families can see underwater discoveries in the onshore Exhibition Centre housing some of the original early Iron Age artefacts from an ancient loch dwelling or crannog. There are wet tanks, models, videos and interpretative panels plus a ‘feely-discovery-box’ for children and large-format jigsaw for toddlers. Afterwards, join a tour, crossing a timber walkway over water, to visit a unique, recreated crannog. A great way to bring history alive for kids!
