Museum of Land Speed details...

Discover the story of Carmarthenshire’s Pendine Sands at the Museum of Speed. This recently redeveloped museum is sited right on the edge of the seven-mile beach where land speed records have been set since the early 20th century.

Find out about Sir Malcolm Campbell and John Godfrey Parry Thomas in the 1920s and the 2015 attempt by actor Idris Elba to take on the ’Flying Mile’ record set nearly a century before. Amongst the exciting exhibitions are many fun and interactive ones.

Please see the website of CofGâr, Carmarthenshire County Council’s museums and arts service, for further information.
