Spa Valley Railway

Visit the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells and enjoy a destination at every station! This delightful railway operates heritage steam and diesel services from Tunbridge Wells West to Eridge, via High Rocks and Groombridge.

All the family will have a fun day out and thoroughly enjoy travelling through the beautiful Kent and Sussex countryside. You can choose to hop off at any of the stations on your journey to explore the lovely villages. It is possible to purchase a combined train ticket with an entry ticket into Groombridge Place, which is a great destination for children.

Children will also thoroughly enjoy High Rocks, with its acres of breath-taking sandstone rocks interlinked with bridges which provide a lovely walk. High Rocks Halt is actually set in the gardens of the High Rocks Inn. This is an ideal place to sit and watch the trains go by!

The Spa Valley Railway offers special railway experiences too, including Driver and Signalman Experiences, Afternoon Tea, Fish and Chip Suppers and High Weald Belle Dining. There are also very special event days for children, with Thomas the Tank Engine, Peppa Pig or Paddington Bear as well as other fun characters.
