Only a short drive from Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham or Sheffield, RSPB Dearne Valley nature reserve is a fantastic place to watch wildlife on a day out with the kids.
Dearne Valley – Old Moor is an ideal site for both beginners and experienced bird watchers alike and there is plenty for families to do, with a specially designed play adventure area and great explorer backpacks to get the kids interested in nature. Pond dipping kits are also available to hire from April to the end of October.
Special events are held throughout the year with a full events programme during school holidays.
