Pili Palas Nature World

Home to a wonderfully diverse range of wildlife, Pili Palas Nature World is one of the most popular places to go with kids on Anglesey. Whatever the weather, all ages will find plenty of things to do and see. Admire beautiful butterflies fluttering around you on your way through the steamy jungle of lush vegetation and waterfalls in the butterfly house. Visit the birdhouse to make the acquaintance of many feathered friends. Regular animal handling sessions offer families the chance to get up close to snakes and lizards. Will you be brave enough to approach the tropical lair of scorpions, tarantulas and fire-bellied toads? Brace yourself for a host of creepy crawlies in the bug zone. Here you will see locusts, giant snails, hissing cockroaches and millipedes. There are rabbits and guinea pigs in pets’ corner and pygmy goats, kune kune pigs, hens and cockerels in the farmyard. The kids will be entertained for ages watching the meerkats’ antics. Follow the nature trail to meet alpacas and sheep before checking out the exciting play facilities. There is an indoor soft play area for toddlers and a play barn. Older children can let off steam on the giant bouncy castle and huge adventure playground. Head for Meerkat CafЋ when it’s time to refuel. If there’s a birthday coming up, don’t forget that Pili Palas is a great venue for kids parties. The party group will accompany one of the keepers on a tour of the tropical house and the lucky youngsters will have the chance to handle some creatures before moving on to cuddle the pets and enjoy the play equipment.
