Park Hall Countryside Experience

One of the most popular places to go for a family day out in Shropshire is Park Hall Countryside Experience, a national award-winning farm attraction. It is a whole family day out filled with animal antics, action, fun and adventure.

Get up close to your farmyard favourites with a regular schedule of interactive events. Bottle-feed lambs in spring and early summer, groom ponies, or lead the heavy horses. Try hand-milking a real cow or cuddle gorgeous bunnies, and don’t miss the spectacular pig racing event!

This all-weather attraction has massive indoor play barns, while outside there are adventure courses, climbing areas, play houses and great walks for all the family. There are regular tractor rides throughout the day.

Head for the Science Illusion Zone to find lots of hands-on scientific fun. Hugely popular with kids are the brilliant driving experiences for different ages. The junior driving school, the 4×4 land-rovers and pedal go karts (from 6 years) are amazing and the barrel train ride to the woodland is also a must!

Future construction workers will have a great time behind the wheel of a mechanical digger (a small extra cost applies).

At a more sedate pace visit the wonderful heritage exhibits. Find out about the life of a Victorian child at the Victorian School & Museum and see uniforms, artefacts and memorabilia in the Welsh Guards Collection – kids will have the chance to dress up and stand in a sentry box! The Iron Age Roundhouse offers a glimpse of life in the distant past.
