Old Sarum Castle, north of Salisbury, is a great place to take the kids to let their imaginations run wild. This Iron Age hill fort is where the first cathedral once stood and the Romans, Normans and Saxons all left their mark. Five thousand years of history are told through interpretation panels. Check out the family events programme.
