Discover thrilling tales of Robin Hood and rebellion, explore historic caves, relax in the grounds and admire the curated art collections and exhibitions at Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery.
The magnificent 17th-century ducal palace was built on the site of the original medieval castle from 1067. The Castle has had a turbulent past, linked to kings and conquerors until it was opened to the public as a museum and art gallery in 1878.
Also available are Cave Tours into the labyrinth of manmade caves and Castle Dungeon Tours (extra charges apply to both tours; not recommended for very young children and those with access requirements). Look out for changing exhibitions and events throughout the year.
