For an active family day out, hire mountain bikes from Mountain Tours and explore the World Heritage Site of Blaenavon on two wheels. The start of the recommended route is at Garn lakes near the Whistle Inn. The interesting route follows an old railway line and then goes along the towpath of the Monmouthshire and Breconshire Canal.
There are several pick-up points so choose a distance to suit your family. The early part of the route is entirely traffic free. Child seats and tandems/trailers are available. Bikes can be hired by the hour, half day or full day. Mountain Tours also offer guided walks.
