Dig out the picnic basket and enjoy a free day out with the kids in Mortimer Forest, covering a thousand hectares on the Shropshire/Herefordshire border. There are three car parks around the edge of the forest, walking trails and plenty of wildlife.
Vinnalls car park with natural play features and picnic tables makes a good base for families. It is the starting point for an Easy Access Trail as well as for two more challenging trails suitable for older children and their families.
