Blow away the cobwebs on a free family day out in Coed Moel Famau, right on the Denbighshire/Flintshire county border in North Wales. Moel Famau itself is the highest peak in the Clwydian Range and topped by the Jubilee Tower.
The starting point for walking and mountain biking trails, Coed Moel Famau car park has children’s adventure play areas, picnic tables and information panels. Waymarked trails include the Forest Tracker Trail to find out about woodland animals, which is perfect for younger children. Older children may enjoy the challenge of the three and half mile Jubilee Tower Circular.
