Exotic Zoo

Are the children fascinated by wildlife? One of the places to go in Shropshire is Exotic Zoo, located in the heart of Telford Town Park. This small zoo is home to around 70 of the world’s most fascinating creatures and is very popular with visitors of all ages.

There is a Desert Zone, Rainforest Zone, Nocturnal Area and a petting farm. Visitors can find themselves face to face with a wide range of wildlife such as salamanders, a dwarf crocodile, meerkats, praying mantis, burrowing owls, guinea pigs and many, many more. It’s a great chance for families to learn more about different habitats around the world and conservation projects to save endangered species.

Is there a birthday coming up in the family? Really Wild Animal Parties offer the chance to meet and handle some of the zoo’s friendly critters. There is also a range of tailor-made experiences available with special packages for families. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to see behind the scenes at the zoo and even help look after some of the animals. Make sure you remember your cameras!
