Set in the attractive conservation village of Elsecar, the heritage centre is located within the former ironworks and colliery workshops of the Earl Fitzwilliam. Restored historical buildings now house individual craft workshops, artists studios and exhibitions of Elsecar’s past. Family friendly events take place regularly. There is a heritage railway and a Newcomen Beam Engine.
