A visit to Creswell Crags near Worksop makes a fascinating family day out with the kids where you can explore the limestone gorge, caves museum, and visitors centre close to the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border.
Discover life in the Ice Age between 50,000 and 10,000 years ago on the Ice Age Cave Tour in the Robin Hood Cave or take the Rock Art Cave Tour in Church Hole Cave to investigate the only Ice Age rock art in Britain.
There is a full programme of exciting events and exhibitions for all ages to enjoy. Cave tours run daily or at weekends between November and January, (daily in school holidays) but children under 5 years are not permitted on the cave tour for health and safety reasons.
Children’s Birthday parties are offered for children over 5 years that includes a cave tour and activities.

The family ticket costs £23 for the cave tour but there is no charge to visit Creswell Crags site or to walk around the lake and gorge, it is also free to visit the shop and coffee shop plus a small car park charge of £3 charge for all day parking. Remember that children under 5 years are not permitted on the tour.
